Old photos fade away. Save yours.

Time does harm pictures and takes away the bright colors you remember so well. If you every take an old photo out of its frame, you will often see along the edge of the picture where the frame covered the picture a much richer image. This is what sunlight does to pictures over time. It happens so slowly that you often don't notice until something like unframing it brings your attention to the fading that has occured.

Picture showing fading in comparison to no fading

We all know that sunlight fades things but when you are busy with life things can happen slowly over time right under your nose. Even if you have used UV (Ultra Violet) protective glass and archival framing methods fading will happen. But when you scan your pictures lots of those faded colors and sometimes all colors can be recovered. Besides they are being transfered to a medium that will not fade.

This photo was placed behind a circular mat for years. Note the difference in color.
